Tully's Dream
This land leans hard into
the wind,
I gaze across the open sea,
I wonder what my life
could have been,
where do my people dream,
how far away is the home that my blood
sings to know.
The wind calls back my mysteries;
There is no one here to show me.
Galen was my savior
keeping me from the storm.
But even he could not tell me
what I long to know.
I feel a tugging in my mind,
sometimes it seems the answers
are right in front of me,
but in the end it's just my longings
my desires,
and the vast and endless sea.
