This poem that I wrote is loosely connected to Roar, if you tie in the fact that Roar is connected to theland. What's Wrong? The silence is so loud It's deafening me There's not a single sound any where And it's the silence that bothers me The only sounds you hear Are the sounds of machinery A hum of the computer The honk of a car horn The wail of a siren But the land's dead Everything's silent The animals, the land Even the wind isn't there What's wrong? The balance is gone Man quarrels with himself Many die Animals become extinct Never to return Paradise is polluted By waste, greed, and hatred Man's forgotten Forgotten love And beauty And compassion And there's no turning back The deed's done The seed's planted Man has ventured To the land of no return What did everyone think? I'm no poet. Definately not like all the rest of you that posted. I was not in a bad mood when I wrote that, but fired up about saving the environment. ;-) Send everything privately to: jenross@win32supportbbs.vnet.net like usual. Gwen ~=**=~
